How to choose a leather jacket. Which one can be combined with what?

Everyone has long known that a leather jacket is a basic wardrobe item and everyone should have one. But there is very little information on the Internet about how to choose it correctly and what to combine it with. We want to fix this!

Firstly, the name itself speaks for itself and it is assumed that the jacket you will buy will be made of leather. Do not buy leatherette jackets, they crack when worn and do not allow your body to breathe. Which cannot be said about genuine leather. Now, about what types of leather there are:

Eco-leather. This is a really high-quality fabric obtained by applying a polyurethane film to cotton fabric. This provides the products with wear resistance and strength, and thanks to a special production technology, the material is elastic and soft.

Pros and cons. Why we love eco-leather:

Safety. The material does not contain plasticizers that have an unpleasant odor and emit harmful fumes when the temperature changes.

Aesthetics. Eco-leather is dyed in various colors, looks presentable and is quite pleasant to the touch.

Ventilation. Air passes freely through the pores in the polyurethane film, the fabric is said to "breathe".

Hypoallergenic. Unlike natural leather, which has a specific smell and causes irritation in people prone to allergies, this material does not smell at all.

Durability. With proper care, eco-leather products last for more than ten years.

There are far fewer disadvantages and they are mainly related to manufacturing errors, due to which small cracks appear in the top film, through which the fabric base is visible. Therefore, choose proven brands and check the quality of the products when buying.

This option is perfect for ecology activists and vegetarians. But if you eat meat and are not ashamed of it, then buy a leather jacket.

Bull leather is very dense and hard, from 2.5-5 mm. Durable, wear-resistant. Used to create country-style jackets.

Buffalo leather is the most dense, hard and heavy. Thickness is 0.9-3 mm. Characteristic features are large grain, crinkled surface. It is used similarly to bull leather, but is much less common. It is found on biker jackets.

Calfskin is thin and flexible, silky. Breathable structure. Most often, it is from it that jackets for everyday wear are made.

Horsehide is durable and of medium elasticity. It is used for flight jackets, men's clothing, shoes and other accessories.

Goat skin - soft and thin, durable. Wave pattern. For light outerwear and accessories.

Sheepskin is flexible and elastic, stretches well. One of the best leathers for men's jackets.

So what to wear with such a jacket?

If you are not a biker, then you should not combine such a jacket with Cossack boots and combat boots, it will look ridiculous.

White jeans and casual trousers look good with the jacket. Colored jeans and trousers of a suitable shade also go well with the biker jacket. Sweaters, T-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, sweatshirts, turtlenecks can be a great addition.

Don't buy options with a stand-up collar and patch pockets if you're not a fan of the retro style. Such a jacket will always add age and will give off a "mothball" look. Give preference to basic models, namely a biker jacket. If you prefer classics, then a black model made of smooth leather with a minimum of trim will suit you:

If you like warm shades or prefer relaxed styles, casual, smart casual, herritage, you are not burdened by a dress code and do not recognize any framework, then unique models with charisma will suit you:

For sporty guys, there is a great bomber jacket model that will perfectly fit their style:

Total black

For lovers of conceptual style, you can put together a total black look. The most important thing is that the saturation of the black color is the same on all items and try to choose different textures of fabrics and do not forget about accessories (neck chains, jeans, hats, caps, etc.), then the look will be much more interesting.

We are sure that now you know exactly what material, model and shade to buy for yourself a jacket for autumn. Like and share useful information with your friends!
